No flush' toilets in Airport soon

Airports in the country are flush with plans of installing waterless urinals at the terminals. According to sources, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has called for tenders to pilot test “eco loos” at the Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi. The results are expected to be released by February next year.

Contenders

Players in the race are reportedly Hindware, Parryware, Falcon, AG Aqua and Commander. If successful, other airports in the country may also be fitted with green loos.

These eco loos not only conserve water, but promise to put an end to leaky plumbing among other things, thereby saving maintenance costs. Fears of smelly toilets are countered with promise of no malodours..........Click for more
