Rooftop garden to help meet daily requirement of veggies at shelter for homeless


In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the city corporation has developed a rooftop garden at the new shelter for the homeless near Railway junction to meet the daily requirement of vegetables for the home.

The shelter which can house 50 people will start functioning from Saturday. The civic body has entrusted Rojavanaman NGO, to prepare meals three times a day for the inmates. The expense will be borne by the corporation.
