Doctors from the National Institute for Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (Nimhans) have come up with a neuropsychological battery to study the ageing brain. Nimhans Neuropsychological Battery for the Elderly (NNB-E) is the first comprehensive and indigenous battery for the elderly in India to evaluate cognitive functions.
This battery can be used to study the brain of persons in the age-group of 55 to 80 with various education levels. This can be applied in an illiterate population also.
