Judge’s e-book a primer for judiciary


In his foreword to the book, the apex court judge said it would be of great help to many judicial officers who were not fully aware of the potential of CIS 2.0.

“With an effort to reach out to all judicial officers, the State judicial academies have been requested to explain the advantages of case management and how best to utilise CIS 2.0 for case management,” Mr. Justice Lokur said and recommended the e-book to all judicial officers.

Ms. Arulmozhiselvi said it was Justice N. Seshasayee of the Madras High Court, during his tenure as principal district and sessions judge at Salem, who encouraged her to write a book on the subject for the benefit of the district judiciary in the State. Subsequently, Mr. Justice Lokur encouraged her to come up with the latest ebook with updated information.

She pointed out that the whole idea of CIS to put it in a nutshell, was that litigants should be able to view the daily status of their case, view the orders passed, know the dates of hearing, and also the progress of their cases over the Internet from any part of the world.
