Rooftop garden model attracts visitors


The Horticulture Department’s rooftop garden model on display at the Flower Festival at Anna Park in Yercaud on Saturday attracted many visitors.

As part of the Urban Horticulture Development Scheme, greens, vegetables and fruits can be grown in pots on the terrace within a minimum space of 100 square feet. The scheme insists on spreading polythene sheet on the floor to protect the roof from water seepage. Watering of plants is done on a need basis.
