After facing flak for construction of a gaushala (cowshed) at Rai Sports School in Sonipat and then biryani policing in Mewat, the state cow commission has now proposed a `cow university' to research the animal exhaustively. As of now, the name of the university and its location have not been finalized.

Haryana Gau Seva Ayogchairman Bhani Ram Mangla told TOI on Sunday that he would meet chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday or Tuesday in connection with the proposal. He said they would need 500 acres for the proposed university. "We will look for a village panchayat willing to offer the land for the university," said Mangla, who had recently visited Gandhinagar inGujarat to study the functioning of its Kamdhenu University.................Read more
