Winners Baking Training Institute has turned breadwinner for Corporation schools in the city.

Its profits amounting to Rs.10 lakh are now being utilised to fund spoken English training for high school students in 10 Corporation schools.

The bakery was set up as part of a community college course with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Madras East and Hot Breads.

Mayor M. Subramanian inaugurated the classes at the Corporation High School on Kothanda Raman Street, West Mambalam, on Thursday.

More than 4,000 students in classes six, seven and eight are likely to benefit from the training that is being conducted with the assistance of Veta (formerly Vivekananda Institute).........Click for more
