The fight to conserve the Delhi Ridge is well known and documented. It was Professor Vikram Soni, now Emeritus Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, who directed this effort. He then moved from pure conservation to building “conserve and use” models which are profitable and beneficial to all stakeholders while also being kind to the planet.
