The National Green Tribunal on Wednesday issued notices to the Union and state governments and five others regarding a wetland of 48 acres in Vasundhara, notified as Hindon Bird Sanctuary, which was allegedly sold to private builders by civic agencies.
The notice was issued to the Union ministry of environment, forests and climate change, the state forest department, Ghaziabad's district magistrate, the UP Housing Board, Ghaziabad Development Authority, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) and the state Environment Impact Assessing Authority.
