The High Court on Monday directed the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) to submit more details on what it is doing to prevent sewerage water from entering into lakes in the City.

Hearing a PIL petition by Citizen’s Action Group, a Bengaluru-based organisation, a division bench of acting Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice B V Nagarathna directed the BWSSB to explain the steps it had taken following an earlier order by the court. The bench also directed the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Lake Development Authority (LDA) to co-ordinate with the BWSSB in this regard..............Read more
