Every Sunday, at Astarang, a small fishing village in Puri district of Odisha, a team of school and college students wake up to the rooster’s call and rush to the beach, armed with forks, spades and gunny bags. Their mission is to clean a stretch of the Jahania beach, one of the sporadic nesting points of Olive Ridley Turtles.
