The committee set up under the Pune divisional commissioner to monitor progress in curbing pollution of the Panchganga river has not submitted the mandatory quarterly reports before the Bombay high court.

While hearing the public interest litigations filed by some individuals and NGOs seeking court's attention to the Panchganga pollution the court in November last year had asked the divisional commissioner to head the committee to monitor implementation of the recommendations of the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute as well as implementation of various interim directions issued by the court and submit quarterly reports starting from the same month.

But the committee has submitted only one report in the past eight months and the last quarterly report was filed in February. The next report was expected to submit in May but it was missed.
