A delegation of young American leaders of the Democratic and Republican parties visited Pammal and Mudichur near Tambaram on Thursday as part of a fort-night-long visit to India to study the political, socio-economic and environmental issues in the country.

On Thursday, they visited Pammal Municipality and the Zero Waste Centre where organic waste is converted into manure through composting and the process of primary collection of waste from the streets.
