Sivaprasad, managing director, Innovision Engineers, is meeting Chennai’s mayor on Tuesday morning hoping he would be able to convince him that the one crore tonnes of garbage that the city has piled up over the year could get rid of its power famine.
A mechanical engineer from the Guindy engineering college, Mr Prasad had developed the technology for conversion of municipal solid waste into ‘clean burning fuel’ for use in boilers to generate steam and produce power.
