The Supreme Court on Friday said that it cannot direct the entire country to turn vegetarian and refused to urgently hear a petition seeking a ban on meat exports from India.
The petition will come up for further hearing in February 2019, a bench comprising Justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta, said. “You want the whole country to be vegetarian?” the bench asked. “Ban meat exports?”
